Meet Karla, our dedicated Practice Manager with a wealth of experience and expertise! Since joining our team in 2021, Karla has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education and over five years of optical and management experience, she brings a unique blend of skills to the table.

Karla's proficiency spans administrative management, insurance benefits, frame inventory, staff training, and more. As a professional bilingual translator, she ensures seamless communication with our diverse patient base. Beyond her professional commitments, Karla is passionate about patient education, empowering individuals to take charge of their eye health.

When she's not at work, Karla enjoys unwinding with friends playing board games, and finding inspiration in the beauty of the outdoors. With Karla at the helm, our practice is not just a place for eye care, it's a community centered around excellence and compassion.

Introducing Jocelyn, our multi-talented Optician, Frame Stylist, and Lab Technician! With four years of optician experience and a passion for precision, Jocelyn has been an invaluable member of our team since 2022.

From fitting and recommending the perfect products to explaining insurance benefits and expertly edging lenses in our lab, Jocelyn's skills cover every aspect of eyewear care. Whether it's frame styling, eyeglass dispensing, adjustments, repairs, or navigating insurance claims, she ensures our patients receive personalized, top-quality service every time.

Jocelyn's dedication doesn't end with her professional duties, she takes pride in helping patients find frames that not only suit their prescriptions but also complement their lifestyle and personality. With a collection of fun and professional glasses of her own, she leads by example in embracing eyewear as both a necessity and a fashion statement.

Outside of work, Jocelyn's love for turtles and dogs shines through, despite her allergies. With her caring nature and attention to detail, Jocelyn adds a touch of warmth and expertise to every patient interaction.

Meet Araceli, our Patient Care Coordinator extraordinaire! Since joining our practice in 2023, Araceli has been the driving force behind our patient care experience. With a wealth of expertise in everything from preliminary eye testing to insurance navigation, eyewear adjusting, and beyond, she ensures each patient receives top-notch care and attention.

Currently pursuing her studies at Collage of DuPage, she's on a mission to expand her skills and knowledge further.She is fluent in Spanish, English, and Zapoteco, a testament to her commitment to inclusivity and accessibility in healthcare.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Araceli's heart lies in serving her community. Whether it's volunteering to assist the Zapoteco-speaking Oaxacan community or sharing the joy of traditional dancesfromOaxaca, she brings warmth, compassion, and a vibrant spirit to everything she does. Dr. Dixit Patel is a Chicago native and dedicated optometrist committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate eye care. He earned his undergraduate degrees from Loyola University Chicago and his Doctor of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. Patel has a special interest in managing patients with glaucoma, dry eye disease and myopia control, utilizing the latest diagnostic and treatment technologies. He believes in a patient-centered approach, taking the time to understand each individual's unique needs and concerns.

Outside of his practice, Dr. Patel enjoys staying active playing sports, hiking and learning golf. He also loves to travel and explore new culinary experiences.

​​​​She earned her Undergraduate Degree from The University of Illinois at Chicago Honors College in 1988, and her Medical Degree from Cornell University Medical College in 1992. 

Dr. Alvi also attended Casebeer Eye Institute, Arizona in1999, and was Board Certified by The American Board of Ophthalmology in LASIK in 1997. 

She specializes in Glaucoma, Pterygium, Macular Degeneration, Diabetes, Dry Eyes, and Botox.

Dr. Alvi has attained numerous honorary awards and has 23 + years of clinical experience, where she served pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.
